Salutations, again.
and I think this guy^ was a hero.
More about me and what I’m doing.
Student
I’m homeschooled. Nothing against public or private schools, it just wasn’t working for me.
Homeschool gives me the chance to study the topics I want and the flexibility to take college classes and do volunteer work.
Volunteer
I volunteer at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum every week. I’m a visitor guide now and hope to be a docent soon.
I’m passionate about correcting human rights violations, especially at home, and I believe my generation will have the opportunity.
Financier
I’ve always been fascinated by public and private equity markets, and more recently have pursued an aggressive crtypto trading strategy.
I love MS Excel and use it to model and predict business performance, research and make recommendations for seed financing to a family office.
Armchair President
I’m not left or right, I’m a patriot. Issues are never simple or they wouldn’t be issues. Unpacking them takes understanding both sides and coke-bottle thick lenses of history to understand how we got here.
Growth, innovation, capitalism itself - requires a centered view. No stereotyping, no racism, no ignoring. Note: Ignore is the root word of ignorance.
History Buff
I dig history, I love the what-ifs, and I love looking at today’s issues through the lens of history.
Of particular interest is American history. Our founding fathers brilliance, passion and commitment overwhelms me with patriotic pride.
Gamer
Yeah, I read Hobbes, Locke, Mill and Montesquieu while I’m waiting for my next COD match.
My .edus and .orgs
I took History of Mexico and the Borderlands (HIST272) in J-Term 2021. Great class and fantastic professor. The class was a deep dive into Mexico’s history; the class helped me understand some of the challenges we have with immigration today.
Next up was Intro to Political Philosophy (PS206) which helped me understand why government is what it is.
Also this summer: Brown Pre-College U.S. Foreign Policy: Past, Present and Future. This one is on-campus, and I can’t wait!
Also 2021 summer: The Concord Review Summer Program. I plan to write a research paper on the Black Codes that followed radical reconstruction, tilted towards how it affected the power dynamics of the federal and state governments.
